Summary: Ron doesn't know what this is anymore. Companion piece to Gradually (PG).
A/N: Written for harryron100. Thank you to foretinterdite for the beta, and to shes_gone, who didn't see this draft but did discuss draft one with me.
Sometimes when Harry touches him, Ron’s stomach turns over and it’s all he can do not to pull away.
It’s not that he hates Harry or doesn’t love him anymore, because he knows that’d never happen. But he can’t pretend everything’s okay when they cling to the edges of the bed instead of reaching for the middle, or when he can’t laugh at Harry’s jokes because he can’t even look at him anymore.
It didn’t used to be like this, but he’s not even sure what this is.
He just wishes Harry would stop being so fucking polite about everything.
